Brandon: After me asking Cecilia out, some people think that it gets kinda... oh what's the word... monotonous. Yeah I know that it's dating and pretty much everyone does it, but there's always the new things you learn. I'm not talking about the other person either, it's what the other person teaches you.
So, we started dating officially on November 22, 2011. Yes we did our date at Locomotive Park right before, but then there's that first week. We pretty much watched movies. I had to let her watch Over the Hedge. It's my favorite animated movie.
To kinda help you and forgive my memory, I'll skip over the names of every single movie we watched. I can tell you that after watching Gnomeo and Juliet is when we had our first kiss. To be honest, I thought I flopped. Ya know, being gone for a few years from the dating game can have it's set backs. Plus, Cecilia didn't
respond to my advance right away. So here I was thinking I totally blew it!
Cecilia: Okay okay okay. First off, you didn't blow it. Not at all. I didn't respond right away because I wasn't expecting it. My brain had to register that it was actually happening. Then by the time it had registered you had already pulled away. I didn't know how YOU would respond if I advanced after that so I just sat there and held your hand....
Brandon: Yeah, well, that's not the only thing that didn't register in your brain right away now is it? ;)
Cecilia: This was the first time what happened didn't register. Sheesh!
Brandon: So then we did a couple of other dates like ice skating, bowling, leaf raking, walking on the dike, tormenting ducks verbally and physically, random trips to stores, lime-ades at Sonic, trips out to North Lewiston. These are some of the other things we did, but 50% of the time it was movies.
This is all the stuff we did in Lewiston. Then we get down here to BYU-I. That's like a whole new playground. There's only so much you can do when you're in school half of the time. So..... we go for smoothies from Freshens, hang out in the library, play billiards in the Aspen Lounge, go for walks in the
gardens on campus, play games, and still we watch movies.
This all happened from the time we started 'til February 11th, 2012. Now the funny thing... we still do our little fun activities like getting smoothies and playing billiards. Yeah, we dig it!
